Hi! I'm Ella: Your Fellow Travel Disaster Enthusiast

I've lived in Zimbabwe, Korea, Russia, and Germany—and somehow managed to embarrass myself spectacularly in many different languages.

What started as fleeing around the world turned into collecting stories: the German bureaucrat who made me cry (twice), the Korean grandmother who adopted me at a bus stop, and the Russian winter that nearly killed my South African soul. These aren't Instagram highlights (mostly), they're the messy, funny, heartwarming truths about finding love and losing your luggage in equal measure.

My debut book "Babette" launches October 2024, telling my mother's story of love and sacrifice that shaped everything I understand about relationships. Because sometimes you have to meet your ghosts before you can write your own love story.

A collection of travel-related items arranged on a white surface, including an open journal with travel notes and a black-and-white photo of a woman with Tower Bridge in the background. There is a vintage-style camera on the left and a tin pencil case labeled 'London' with British-themed images. Several washi tapes in a variety of colors and patterns are scattered, some inside a jar and others outside.

Spot on! Creative way of writing the story of how they met each other, it transports you into a young man and what he is going through in that moment.
